Accomodations:

Nasu has a number of Western-style hotels, Japanese-style Inns, and Pensions that are all members of our association.
Reservations made well in advance are recommended for a visit during the peak season in summer. Nasu offers the most ideal surroundings for a Ryokan (Japanese-style inn).
At a Ryokan, you can live just as the Japanese do. Please leave your shoes at the entrance and put on the guest slippers.
However, in your tatami (straw mat flooring) room, slippers come off. You will see no bed in your room during the day as a comfortable futon mattress will be laid out by the maid at night.     Dinner and breakfast, which are usually included in the room charge at a Ryokan, are authentic Japanese-style dishes. The middle range room charge (including meals) usually runs from 12,000 yen to 15,000 yen per person. For budget-minded tourists, we would recommend staying in a Pension. For more information, please contact Mr. Saito at (0287)72-0231(from outside of Japan 81-287-72-0231) or fax him at (0287)72-5927(from outside of Japan 81-287- 72-5927).
